About Me
Growing up in India and living in places like Spain and Texas where the strong sun brings colour to life has certainly had an influence on my use of colour.

The intense, vibrant light in those locations is unlike any other, and it's a fantastic source of inspiration for capturing mood and feeling, whether I’m working on an abstract piece or a realistic painting.

My primary medium is oil, which is wonderful for building rich, layered colours and capturing the luminosity I’m drawn to. Over the years, I’ve explored various techniques to enhance the interplay of light and shadow, often experimenting with both palette knife and brushwork to evoke different moods. I enjoy creating both representational and abstract art, as each style offers unique creative appeal.

Throughout my career in the IT industry, as well as during the busy years of raising three children and now enjoying the company of eight grandchildren, art has remained a constant thread in my life. The act of creating provides me with a sense of meditation and deep satisfaction. It allows me to express my creative instincts and imagination, drawing upon the skills I have acquired over the years and continue to develop. Making art is both a fulfilling and essential part of who I am.

I studied at Hatherley’s School of Art, LARA, The Barns Atelier, Lavender Hill Studios in London, and The Norfolk School of Oil Painting.
